Procedures - BODY LIFT

Just as the facial muscles may sag or wrinkle with age, so can the skin on the torso, breasts, thighs and upper arms. These problems can also be the result of significant weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding, or genetic factors. These lifts work by removing excess skin and fat. Body lifts may also result in the reduction of dimpled skin (cellulite), while breast lifts can improve the appearance of enlarged aerolas. Body lifts have permanent results, assuming you maintain your weight and overall fitness. Proper support is crucial after a breast lift to maintain the firmness and position of the breasts. As you age, there will be some natural reduction in skin elasticity and firmness, but it is unlikely that you would revert to your pre-surgery shape. Women who are considering pregnancy should postpone their body lifts until after all child-bearing is complete.

Post Bariatric Reconstruction
Bariatric or obesity surgery is a highly specialized surgical procedure/s, with patients managed by a multidisciplinary team consisting of bariatric surgeon, endocrinologist physician, dietician, psychologist, physiotherapists etc.

After gastric bypass or bariatric surgery, previously obese patients can lose 50kg or more. While this has major health benefits and reduces other problems such as diabetes or high blood pressure, it can also create unpleasant body shapes because the body is now smaller than its skin. While some skin shrinkage will occur, you may want to consider a body contouring surgery to reduce excess fat and skin. This can also help you further improve your self-image as a major step in your transformation.

Once weight loss is complete and you have stabilized medically, body contouring can be performed on many parts of the body, including arms; buttocks, groin and thighs; face, neck and jowls; breasts; and the abdomen and lower back.
